Teachers and students are influenced to use technology more and more as students are often engaging with new forms of technology with or without the school's instruction. Educators are feeling the pressure of the digital age now more than ever as austerity measures and standardized testing that block resource dollars. Now technology isn't being looked at as a way to enhance teaching by streamlining logistics through sleek computation, but rather as a tool necessary for educators to effectively teach ever-increasing class sizes.

Knowledge constructor appealed to me because the idea of students constructing how they learn best-using technology is something that will help them in the long run.
The one part of the ISTE that seems out of my specialty is the "Digital Citizen" I don't think it's important to emphasize the safe use of the web without really knowing how to safely use the web.
I agree with the term digital native for my generation and younger ones. We are quite adept at using most interactive screens and technology fairly intuitively. Most digital immigrants like my teachers simply don't have the instincts to know that there more than likely is a piece of technology capable of doing anything they are thinking of teaching, but they don't know it exists or if they did would consider it too bothersome to try.
